I would like to design a form connected to an ACCESS DB
on a SharePoint Site.
I have done the following:
1. Created the access database
2. Logged on to the SharePoint Site
3. Opened the SharePoint to Edit in Microsoft Front Page
4. Imported the access DB
a. FrontPage knew this file was an Access DB
b. FrontPage created the .../fpdb folder
c. FrontPage importd the DB into the .../fpdb folder
5. Launched InfoPath
6. Started the process to design the form connected
to the Access Datasource
7. Entered the http://<Site Name>/fpdb location
8. Database was visible and I selected it.
Error: ...InfoPath only works with Microsoft ACCESS and
Microsoft SQL databases, check that the database is one
of these types.
It is clearly an Access DB.
I have created the form connected to the local datasource
prior to importing to the SharePoint site.
Question: Is is not possible to connect to this DB
imported to the SharePoint Site?
Question: Is there an issue with the fact that all the
sites data is stored in Microsoft SQL?
