InfoPath error when opening forms

Hello,

Forms created on one machine cannot be opened in InfoPath 2007 using a
different machine, the following error is displayed:

"The form cannot be opened because it requires the domain permissions
level and it currently has restricted permissions. To fix this problem
open the form from the location it was published to"

I assume that the form can be opened from the sharepoint library and
edited in InfoPath??, however I have a form that was created on a
sandbox machine (without network access so this cannot be published
from this location) how can I publish these forms back to my
production sharepoint environment??

Thanks,

Phil.

Hi,

When you opening the Infopath form, it will look for the published location.
In your scenario you published the form in one machine and you opening the
form from anohter location, thats why you are getting error.
if you want open the form you need to submit the form to some central
location or shared location.

If you published the form to sharepoint library, you can open the form from
any system if you are in same in network(i.e, sharepoint machine and your
machine are in network).

If you want publish these forms to sharepoint server, you need to take these
forms to the machine which has the share point access or need the Network
access.

I hope this will help for you.

Hi,

Thankyou for your reply, just to summaries your reply:

If I create a form on a machine that is not on the corporate LAN (that
has not been published to sharepoint) then it is not possible to take
this to a machine on the corporate LAN and open this with InfoPath
2007?

Thanks,

Phil.

Hello

If you cannot publish the forms from the sandbox machine, take a zip of all
the files and then copy it to the machine on your Corp LAN and then open the
Zip of the files and open manifest.xsf in the Design mode and publish it to
the shared location on the LAN or sharepoint forlder. Also check the check
box Automatically determine the security level based on the form's design in
the Tools-> form options -> Security Tab
