Hi

I have "enabled protection" on in "form options". Is there a way to disable
the protection? Is there a way to implement a authentification method to
allow a certain group or user to disable the protection?

Cheers

Form protection is a pretty weak line of defence. But it's usually
adequate in a business setting.

It's intended more to stop somebody inadvertently altering a form's
design.

Since the user has the same InfoPath client that you do, they can
simply open the form in design mode and change the design. They should
get a warning BUT the bottom line is that they can change it.

As far as I am aware there is no way in the current version to
implement the kind of authentication that I think you want.

The upcoming changes in architecture in InfoPath 12 look likely to
change this kind of scenario substantially.
