Infopath Form submission using VPN

When working remotely using VPN, I can submit Form ok, but the system will
not allow me to save Infopath form. I can work correctly when logged in from
Office network on the same file.
Is there a problem in saving forms from VPN? Please advice

The error shows on client end messegbox is "Infopath cannot save the form.
The specified location is either not valid or not available.".

However it works fine when using direct connection (not VPN).

Any Idea???

Have you assigned any public IP address to the MOSs Server, for
external usage ?

Thanks for your response.

No we are using WSS 2.0, and MS Office suite 2003 with sp2 applied.
What I believe is there are something wrong on VPN, it able to submit the
form but not able to save. Here the errors again:

"Infopath cannot save the form.
he specified location is either not valid or not available."
