Infopath Rules

Hi,
Can anyone guide me to some examples of using Infopath's "rule" and
ruleSet elements please?

What I am trying to find out is wether I can generate and reuse
infopath compatible .xsf or .xml files from C# using infopath's API. I
am trying to see if I can use infopath's SDK as an alternative to a
rules engine.
