Infopath SP1 and Timer Events

Hi,

Is there any reason why timer events should result in the master XDocument
being invalid in the sub called by the timer? All I want to do is display a
countdown timer and using events seemed a reasonable way to go, but Infopath
seems to have other ideas.

All I could think was that the timer event is on a different thread or maybe
in a different appdomain.

Anyone throw any light on this?

One possibility is that InfoPath's reapply mechanism is kicking in before
the time sub is called. If that occurs the XDocument referenc will change.
Are you changing any data before the timer has fired?
