I just found something interesting (and useful).
I developed a template. Filled out a few samples.
Then, I went back in to Design Mode and extracted the files to a new folder.
I closed InfoPath.
I opened MSWord. I opened one of the sample xml files that I made when I
filled out the form. I used "open with transformation" and used the file
generated when I extracted the InfoPath template files to the new folder.
The only adjustment I needed was to modify the font style for the Rich Text
Box. For some reason Word added a ghosted border around the text.
Beautiful! Now I can work with information saved from InfoPath forms in Word!
