experienced with activeX controls

thank you

Try this:

1. Design a blank form
2. Open the Controls task pane
3. Click on "Add or Remove Custom Controls" at the bottom.

You should see a list of ActiveX controls. Look for one of the Excel controls. You probably want "Microsoft Office Spreadsheet 11.0". From there, you'll want to set it up to bind to the XmlData property. Other than that, I believe you can choose the defaults in the wizard. I don't know enough about the spreadsheet control to help you more with it unfortunately.

If you want an overview of using ActiveX controls in InfoPath, this might help: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...y/en-us/odc_ip2003_tr/html/odc_INF_Lab_06.asp
