Information between specific dates

I have been trying with no luck to pull a query of individuals with a birth
date after 8/1/2003 and before 7/31/2004. i am unable to get any information.
when i do get information it is only for dates in july but with all the
years.
I am fairly new to Access, I have been online and in the Access for Dummies
books but i can't seem to find what i need.
I also need to be able to pull individuals by age such as (0-3 months), (4-6
months), and (6-12months old).
Can anyone help?

Show us the SQL for the query that somewhat works.. Open the query in design
view. Next go to View, SQL View and copy and past it here.

While trying to get the information for you i finally stumbled upon my
problem. For some reason my Birth Date field was set to text instead of
Date/Time.

It sounds to me as if your dates are being stored in a TEXT field and not in
a dateTime field. If so, you are going to have problems pulling date
ranges.

So, the first question is what type of field is the birthdate?

After you answer that perhaps you can post the SQL view of your query. (In
design view, select View: SQL from the menu, copy and paste the text).
