Information on screen automaticly selected sometimes - why?

I have a problem with the way data on screens from notebooks come up from
time to time. I don't like the fact that data comes up on these screens
already selected and if you don't notice it right away and hit a key stroke
the data on the screen is lost. I know for fact that the data wasn't selected
by me because I have gone out and purposely unslected the data and at a later
time when I start OneNote the data on that same screen will be selected for
change again.

Is there a option somewhere that can be changed where I have to select the
data myself to put it in a change mode instead of it coming up by its self?

I for one can not remember to have ever had to face what you are
complaining about.

Maybe make it a habit to tap the Home key each time you enter a page before
editing.
