I have recently had to re-install MSOffice Professional 2003 after doing a
system restore. When I try to run any applications I get the following :-
The application failed to intialize properly (0xc150002). Click OK to
terminate the application.
Have now tried 5 times -always the same result. Things used to work fine
before system recovery was performed

Have you tried Detect and Repair?

Thanks Milly. I have also tried this.
I found the solution through a friend. When you do a system recovery it
removes all windows security patches and service packs. Once I had
re-installed them Office 2003 worked fine.
