Initials field in Resource Pool -- where is it really necessary?

Is it imperative that the persons initials are entered for each record
in the Enterprise Resource Pool? What functions use that field?

Andy --

No. One use is to display the Initials field to the right the Gantt bar in
the Gantt Chart view in place of the resource names to shorten the length of
the list of assigned resources. Hope this helps.
