Inking in Office 2003

Is there any way to use the inking feature in Office 2003
programs by using an external tablet, rather than with a
Tablet PC? Thanks!

Wacom tablets work - however, I also installed the Tablet PC version of
Windows XP.

Thanks.
I actually installed a Wacom tablet but I didn't get the
inking feature when I installed Office 2003. Do I
definitely need XP Tablet? If so, how do I get it? I
can't seem to find it anywhere.

Check Office setup for inking components that may not have been installed -
Microsoft Shared Components - Microsoft Handwriting Component.

The Tablet PC edition of Windows XP is only available on non-Tablets via
MSDN subscriptions for developer use. It is not recommended for regular use
on non-Tablets .

Please respond in the same thread on this newsgroup. Make sure you
include details of your application and Windows versions, and whether
or not you have included any service pack updates.
