Inking in ON 2003 not working right...

I use a Wacom tablet with ON 2003. When I go to ink, the ink doesn't appear
until after I lift the pen. This was mentioned as a potential bug in ON 2007.
But I didn't find anything on ON 2003. Has anyone used a pen in ON 2003 and
gotten the expected behavior? If so, how did you set it up?

This seems to solve the problem:

Tools -> Options -> Handwriting

Uncheck the "Automatically switch between Pen and Selection Tool" box.

I don't know if there are any bad side effects for this fix. I will find out
shortly...
