Is there anyway either by the book or by the backdoor to force Outloo
to show attached photographs in line with the rest of the email? Thi
is one of the reasons I still use Outlook Express for email but us
Outlook for other things (calendar, etc). I am currently using Outloo
2003 but expect to upgrade to the latest version when that is ready fo
release (the one after 2007).

I'm going to have to abandon OE when I upgrade to Windows 7 and a
desperately seeking an email program that will allow me to look at th
photos in line with the text as well as a few other things that I valu
OE for.

Would appreciate any help. Thanks

What happens when you copy n paste? Open the image in an image program,
like MS-Paint, Paint.NET, or whatever, highlight the area to copy and do
a Copy, then do a Paste inside your e-mail. You'll need to use HTML
format since plain-text messages obviously can't have images embedded
within them.

Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010 have an attachment previewing feature. So in
case the pictures were sent as attachment and not embedded in the message
body by the sender, you can now still view them without leaving Outlook.

For Outlook 2003 (and also Outlook 2007) you can get more picture attachment
options via this add-in;

If you are looking for something that is closer to Outlook Express, you
might want to consider Windows Live Mail. It is the replacement of Outlook
Express and also has Calendar support.
