Hello,
I would like to format cells in a m/d/yyy format. However I want to be able
to input the date without the slashes to save time for the data entry person.
For example I want to input 2344 and have excel convert it to 2/3/1944. I
have used the format cells feature and set it to date m/d/yyyy, and it gives
that format as long as I use the slashes, but gives a bogus date with slashes
when I type the numbers as a string. Is there a way to do this?
