Input Mask for SS#

I have found posts that show you can put an Input Mask on SS#'s that will
list them as ******'s. The only ones I found show it to be done in Access
2003 with Security enabled. Is it possible to do it in Access 2007?

I am probably going to sound really retarded and this has to be pretty easy,
but I can't seem to figure it out. If I store my numbers using the
"Password" Input Mask how do I retrieve the actual numbers without deleting
the mask?

another form without the mask

harvesting SS#s now is verbotten (forbidden) in most companies now due to
privacy liablility....

you really might not want to do this.....something to be said for NOT
putting everything online or in electronic format.....and Access can not be
considered secure..

just like credit card processing now is processed once then dumped...less
and less companies want to be liable for retaining that data....

Thank you everyone for your help! I agree with the SS# thing, but I work in
a really small office (7 people) that has about 50 outside contractors
working for us. I'm the most computer literate person (as you can see from
my questions that's pretty sad) and my boss seems to think no one else will
be able to figure out how to retrieve them. I tried to explain otherwise,
but it didn't work. I think I'm going to show him all the posts on here and
see if he might believe some experts!
