Input Mask will not carry over after Mail Merge

C

Chris

I am having trouble with my Access database. I have a
Mail Merge form I am filling out on Word, and I need to
have a phone number field. The problem is when I merge
the database and word file together the input mask I have
set up in Access doesn't seem to carry over. So my phone
number field ends up looking like 1234567890.

How can I fix this problem.

Thank you in advance for your help.

You need to mail-merge a query rather than the table. You
can then use the Format() function in the query to format
the phone number. Input masks are useful only as a guide
to help people inpput data correctly. They are not used
to format output.
