Input Method Editor

I'm using the Japanese IME or Input Method Editor "MS-IME2002" with MS
Office 2000 on Windows XP (US English locale). I plan to upgrade to Office
2003. Should I remove MS-IME2002, upgrade to Office 2003 and then install
officexp-kb816218-client-eng.exe or does Office 2003 include a Japanese IME
as an optional feature?

The Microsoft Office Online Web site is not very clear on this procedure.
