Inputting date as dd/mm not mm/dd

MichaelH

I have just re-installed office 2003 and my date input order is no mm/dd.
In an existing spreadsheet I always used to type eg 8/6 for 8 June. Now it
interprets it as 6 Aug. How can I set it to interpret input as 8 June
My regional settings have dd/mm/yyyy for short date.
Thanks

This behavior is controlled by your Windows Regional Settings date format
(accessed via the Control Panel).

Somehow the date format got changed to "mdy" from "dmy". Possibly had nothing
to do with the reinstallation of office.

In any event, go to Start/Control Panel and access your regional settings and
make the appropriate changes there.
