What was reason for recovering your pc?
After recovery did you run MS Update for critical updates?
Did your recovery include a trial version of office?

had to do recovery as comp. lcked and no way out !
Have got all Ms updates
recovery did not include a trial version of office
I am trying to load from a cd and have the oem no.
The trial version will not load either.........

What do you mean by the "OEM" number?

The Trial version of Office will obviously not load since it is not on your recovery
CD or partition. The Trial version was a separate install from your OEM

oem... the number on the cd........ five x five letters......... perhaps I
called it the wrong thing..........

As I replied to your other post - the number on the CD is NOT the Product
Key....

That is what it asks for and it gets a geen tick so that part is ok

Well it shouldn't do because the number on the CD is NOT the Product Key.
The Product Key is on the CD CASE......
