Insert a date object/field

Is there a way to insert a date object or field anywhere in a onenote, like
onenote does automatically to the top of the page? I know you can insert the
current date/time but it doesn't have those nifty buttons where you can
select a new date in a visual calendar.

No there isn't a way to insert a date/time field like there is in the Title
of the page. Just the static timestamp.

Not as a native capability within OneNote, that is, but there's a
=GREAT= little tool called KeyText (http://www.mjmsoft.com) that gives
you some nice keystroke-macro capabilities. I use it for all sorts of
stuff. Well worth exploring.
