insert a slideshow?

Is it possible to insert a picture slideshow using Front Page? I'm totally
new to Front Page and the help section doesn't help me at all. I use
Irfanview to make most slideshows, but can't figure out how to get one on my
site. It's apparent that Front Page doesn't like the .exe file extension,
and I think I'm getting close using the .scr extension but just can't get it
right. Using the .scr extension puts up a clickable link, but if you move
the mouse during the slideshow it stops??? Is there an easier way to do
this? Any help would be appreciated.

Dennis,
I came across a site that had an interesting approach to a
slide show, and I have adapted it for use on my sites.
You can see it at http://coldspringliving.com/.
Check out the thumbnails, and the large image next to them.
It uses "behaviors" (Format/Behaviors) and rollovers
to swap images. It worked well for my needs.
Good luck!

That would probably work for me. I'll look into it to see if I can figure it
out.
Thanks vinceg!

Why not try JAlbum?

I had read about it, but I had thought that I had coded my own stuff quite
well.

But when I wanted to make a new subsite (well, it is just a folder with
subfolders, but it works as a subsite for me), I tried Jalbum

The results were great. Check them out here

Thanks, Rob

This is mainly my wife's initiative. I just provide the expertise (?) on how to create the site.

The pix were supplied by members of the Retired ACT Transport Employees Club in Canberra, of which ,my wife is a committee member. We were not transport employees, but she has an interest in buses, trams, trains, etc. She even has some Fotopic sites with lots of her photos on them:
<a href="http://carole.lawrence.fotopic.net">Carole's Bus and Coach Photos</a>
<a href="http://carole.lawrence-2.fotopic.net">Carole's Other Transport Photos</a>
The club has a government grant to assist in publicizing their archives. So far, courtesy of the mvps.org site, it hasn't cost them anything except our time (me and my wife's) to get these pix up. The bus service in the ACT started in the 1920's, so we are hoping to get some more of the older ones.
