Insert a Table in a Rich Text Box?

C

CODY

Trying to insert a Table (using HTML code) through a module into a Rich Text
Box based on some records... Any thoughts on how to do this... I need to
create this as an HTML to send to an email...

Thanks

I noticed that nobody answered. You might want to repost saying more about
what you want to do rather than how you're thinking of doing it.

Not that you did it deliberately, but your inquiry in essence said "I'm not
really going to tell you specifically what I want to do, I'm just going to
tell you that I want to use insertion of a table, a module, HTML, a rich
text box to do it."

One more point that you'll need to correct / clarify. A table is a bunch of
data stored electronically in a particular fashion. It's not a graphical
object, but it's data (or portions of it's data) can be displayed on screen,
printed or elsewhere as zillions of different possible graphical
displays/objects. I assume that what you meant is that you want some or
all of the data from your table to be displayed in a particular fashion in an
email? If so, the next question would be the sepcifics.

I just tried using basic HTML table tags and it was not supported, so, it
probably won't work. Other basic HTML tags, <B> for bold, <I> for italic,
work fine. The tags inserted by Access, though, are are the more modern
generic <STRONG> and <EM>. It uses <FONT> tags for type, color, highlight
color, and size. It uses <DIV> to divide lines or paragraphs. And <UL> and
<LI> work, embeding which introduces indents. But no table tags will work.
It appears to be a limited Rich Text environment.

Edit a memo field as Rich Text then change it to Plain Text to see the
hidden tags inserted by Access.
