After furious head scratching, Marjory Montgomery asked:
| I'm using Outlook 2003 with Word as my editor using the HTML format.
| I have tried inserting or pasting an animated gif. Both show as an
| attached file? What am I missing?

|| You must use HTML as the message format.
|| Note that the gif-file doesn't animate while composing with Word as
|| the email editor or at all when using Outlook 2007. This doesn't
|| affect the animated gif itself for the receiver.
