Insert date I get code

On one workstation, when I intsert/date in a document, the code is inserted
and not the actual date. I have read MS Knowlege Base Article 326503 and the
Print/Options/Field Code box is cleared. Other users in our office do not
have this problem. Any suggestions? TIA

Brian,

If I understand your problem correctly, please check two things before
replying to this message:

1) Look at the Tools|Options dialog box View tab and make sure the checkbox
for 'Show' - Field Codes is NOT checked.
2) On dialog box reached via Insert|Date and Time menu item, is the checkbox
'Update Automatically' checked or not? If it is NOT checked then *only* the
date value will go into document. If it *is* checked, then field code will
be used (and could change value depending what code is).
