insert diagram in landscape form when word doc is in portrait

Hi All
I'm new to this group, so i hope theirs someone to tell me if its
possible to add a diagram of a pice of equipment, with text dotted
around it to identify different elements of it, into the document
which needs to stay in portrait form?
