Insert graph or text in Word 2002

Boblink

Hi, I am having a problem with inserting material in a MSWord 2002 document.
I clicked on INSERT--TEXT BOX, and was able to create a box within the
document taht I was able to insert a Text Table into and my question is,if I
have an 8x11 paper format and want to insert a 2x2 Text Table or Graph, can
I do this and still use the space to the right (or to the left, depending on
where I drag the insert to), to continue typing into the (larger) 8x11
document? Or re-phrasing this, once the insert box is created, I would like
the space "in back" of the insert to be locked and when I continue typing on
the largere document )the full page), that the text on the docement scrolls
properly and does not populate the area within the text box (that would not
be visable since the text box is "on top" of this text? I hope that I have
not made this more complicated than it is and that you can understand what I
am trying to do, if not please advise and I'll try to make "more sense" with
what I am trying to do.
Thank,
Bob

Format the wrapping on the text box as Square instead of In Front of Text.

Thank you for your prompt reply Suzanne, "Format the wrapping on the text box
as Square instead of In Front of Text", I am not quite sure what you mean by
this? What I am doing is opening a NEW document, then inserting Text Box. A
large box apperas on the screen that advises me to "Create Your Drawing
Here". Where / When do I format "the wrapping box as a square"?
Thanks again for your help Suzanne,
Bob

What's tripping you up is the Drawing Canvas: Press the ESC key after
selecting the Text Box command in order to dispense with the canvas. Once
you create he Text Box Right-Click its edge & select Format Text Box -
Layout to select the preferred Wrap option. Text Wrapping converts the
object [Text Box in this case] to Floating rather than In Line which enables
document text to flow around it. Explore this link for more details:
