With Outlook 2000, I was able to route an email to an RTF file that I could
open with Word and insert headers and footers before saving it as a Word
document. This was useful for creating workpaper documentation from email
correspondence. With Outlook 2002 and 2003, the RTF (or DOC) file created
from the email source does not provide the option to insert headers and
footers when the file is opened with Word.
Outlook should reinstate the ability to insert headers and footers into
email documents opened with Word.
