Insert Hyperlink... does nothing?

Insert Hyperlink... does nothing.

Also, if I manually create a hyperlink, clicking on the new link does
not bring up the web browser. Nothing happens.

Excel98. OS 9.1

Any ideas of what is going on?

Not tryin to tell you hw to suck eggs, but what method are you using to
create a hyperlink?

Maybe the formula's not quite right.

I appreciate any input, no offense taken.

In this case, I once again had an extension disabled.
(...been having a lot of trouble with this old mac)

.....Extension now loaded, ...problem solved.
