Insert images side by side

Is it possible to insert images into OneNote side by side when pasting them
on a writing area? Every time I try to insert a new image it forces it to be
below the previous image. This does not happen when I place them outside of
the writing (typing) box.

Unfortunately, images have to be on their own line by themselves in ON2003
containers. You can place them side by side outside the container as you
noted.
