Insert key does not activate overtype

While working in Word, the "Insert" key stopped activating and deactivating
the Overtype feature. Instead, it automatically inserts the last word or
phase that was highlighted.

How can I get the key back to its original function?

Hi, Ron. In Word, click on Tools | Options | Edit | uncheck the "Use the INS
key for paste" box | OK.
