Insert Merge Field Toolbar Button

Using Office 2002, we have a large number of Mail Mergers who like to use
the INsert Merge Field button that was present in Word 97. It can be easily
placed on the Mail Merge toolbar. OK, for most, but there are three
individuals who cant get it to stick. Everytime a new merge is begun, they
need to put the button on the toolbar again, and again...........
Any suggestions for a fix, to have that button stay, will be very appreciated.
Thank you.

In case it may be of interest, it turned out to be Normal.dot
Just for the sake of doing something, I deleted Normal on one of the
offending computers, and Voila-La.

If you ever deleted my normal.dot file I would cut your hands off at the
elbows! RENAME normal.dot so that customisations can be transferred!!!

Perhaps I didnt explain myself completely.
We have been replacing all of our older computers over the last year, and
have so far done about 1500.
In preparation for this major project, all of our users where given a list
of all the files, on their local drive, that needs to be backed up to the
network. Normal.dot was one of those files. I did delete Normal, and then
copied the archived version of back to the templates folder. The MergeField
button behaved, and all the customizations stored in Normal, such as
Autotext, Macros, etc were restored as well.

I certainly do not want my hands cut off, even if it is only at the wrist.
