Insert object - gone after re-open

Hi,

I have 3 virtual servers with Project Server on there. I am connecting with
the same local Project Professional installation to all three of them. All 3
URLs are in the Intranet Zone. When I insert an object (not as link, not as
symbol) and save and publish it to the server, the picture is gone after
re-opening using one of the servers. It is kept on the others. Since I am
using the same client, I can only imagine that there is a setting on the
server side which makes the difference, but I can't find it. Has anyone an
idea regarding this?
Any ideas are really appreciated!

P.s.: I have that issue also on fourth (physical) server, but there I use a
different client installation. So it is more difficult to compare settings

As long as there are no customizations on views in Enterprise Global,
inserted pictures are kept in Gantt chart. If any views are modified, a
project specific view has to be created for inserting and keeping pictures.
