Insert Object (Picture)

My user uses Access 97 on Windows 98. He inserted the
picture (.bmp and .jpg) into Access 97. Those pictures
are displayed as icons even he did not check the tick box
to display as icon. This applies to MS Word too.
Previously, it did not appear like this.
Is it possible that it's due to Office 97? Please
suggest.
