Greetings,
Does anyone know of a way to disable the annoying "insert options" flag that appears every time I create a new row or column in Excel. It covers up information I need to see in order to keep track of where I am in my copy & paste activities, and I just want it to stop.

Many Thanks,
Macduff

Hi Macduff;

Same place you control most everything else in the program:)

Excel> Preferences. In the Edit Prefs just clear the check for Insert
Options and/or Paste Options.

Hello Bob,
Thank you so much for your quick reply. I did actually look in preferences, but let me be the first to admit that I'm not all that intimate with Excel. I'm just starting to use it more than ever and this flag seems to be a new addition in the new program I just purchased.

Thanks Again,
Macduff
