Insert, Page Break does not work after Endnotes page. Need Ref pg

Using MS Word 2007, writing educational materials how to use MS Word 2007 to
create a report with Endnotes. After the endnote page information, Insert and
Page Break is dimmed out. Can a REFERENCES page come after the ENDNOTES page
or does the ENDNOTES page have to be the last page of a report?. I removed
the Endnote Separator line successfully, couldn't insert a page break for the
REFERENCES page, so I thought I would just press the Enter key until I had
another page after the ENDNOTES page. Then a line separator appears at the
top of the page I wanted to use for REFERENCES. It looks like it might be a
Microsoft problem to me.
