insert pdf into Word doc?

Have a logo that is a pdf file.
Is there any way to insert the pdf into a Word doc?



Also, have an Excel spread sheet that has two columns, first name and last
name.
Is there any way to move them to a Word doc, combine the first and last name
and then be able to cut/paste, etc. everything you 'normally' could do if
the file started out as a Word doc?

What I would do is save the PDF as a JPEG or JPG file and then insert
that as a picture.

Open Acrobat - Save As and change the Save As type to either jpg or
jpeg. A picture will be created of each page.

As for the Excel question. Yes, you should be able to select the range
of text that you want in Word and copy that from Excel and paste into
Word. It will paste in as a Word table, so you can merge cells, or
convert to text as desired.

If the Acrobat file is locked for editing, open the logo in Acrobat and make
it as large as possible on your screen without any distortion. Then use
Alt+PrintScreen which will copy the whole display to the clipboard. You can
now paste the clipboard into a graphic editing tool, crop it, resize it and
save it as a jpeg. My favourite freebie tool for doing this is IrfanView.

as an object and set its layout property to behind text.
