Hi Dallas,
You can use this macro
to have Word 2002 display the
Insert=>Picture=>From File dialog in the
view of your choice and avoid the delay of
creating/displaying all the thumbnails
As shown it will display the Details view
'========
Sub InsertPicture()
'
' InsertPicture Macro
' by Bob Buckland ?

' Inserts a picture from a graphics file
' Sets the View to (D)etail with SendKeys
' View choices [change last Sendkey Letter]
' D - (D)etails view
' G - Lar(g)e Icon view
' L - (L)ist view
' M - S(m)all Icon view
' R - P(r)operties View
' V - Pre(v)iew View
SendKeys ("%L{LEFT}D")
Dialogs(wdDialogInsertPicture).Show
End Sub
'==========
In Word 2002, whenever I use Insert-Picture-From File...
the default view for files is the Thumbnails view. I
would desperately like to change this to Details view.
Is this possible and, if so, how?>>

Hope that helps,
Bob Buckland ?
