Insert Picture Menu faulty

I'm trying to insert a picture in Word. When I select the
option under Insert|Picture, the next sub-menu options I
get are all "Clip Collection" from top to bottom of the
screen. All are unresponsive to a click or double-click.

I've tried putting the XP Media Content CD in the
computer - doesn't help. I've tried "Repairing" Office -
doesn't help. I've searched the Microsoft website for
hours - doesn't help.

Desperate for ideas!

If you are using Word from Works Suite, the problem is caused by the
Microsoft Works Suite Add-in for Word.

Uninstall the add-in (Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs). Then open Tools
| Customize in Word and drag all the excess items off the menu.
