I have Word 2002. I have two reports from two different people. When I double click on the picture in one it opens in Microsoft photo editor, with the other report it opens the format picture box. What is the difference here? Also, the pictures in the first one have a larger file size than the camera is capable of taking. (If that makes any difference.)

Thank you

Tools > Options > Edit > Picture Editor

If the pictures are pasted into Word, it does its own conversion. Better to
link them.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?VG9t?=,
I have Word 2002. I have two reports from two different people. When I double
click on the picture in one it opens in Microsoft photo editor, with the other
report it opens the format picture box. What is the difference here?The difference is PROBABLY due to the type of graphic file the original picture
was, and how it was inserted. Some graphic file types will have been linked to
photo editor on your system (*.gif and *.jpg, for example). Generally, Word will
open *.wmf (its native graphics format) in its own picture editor.
