Insert PowerPoint slideshow to Word webpage document

I would like to insert a PowerPoint slideshow to a webpage document, which I
have created using Word (by Saving As, Webpage). The slideshow has several
slides with photos set up with a 'Fade Smoothly' transition. However, when I
insert this file, it doesnt seem to work. Would be really grateful for any
pointers. Should I using PowerPoint for this effect?
