Insert row option is grayed out

Dear all,

When I try to insert a row in any excel file by giving a click in the
right button in the mouse, the insert option is visible on the
shortcut menu but it's grayed out...

How can I solve this problem?

i guess the sheet is protected.

go to tools | protection | unprotect sheet |

This problem occurs in all excel sheets, not in a specific file and
all files are not protected.

What version of Excel are we talking about?

It happens with all excel files and this problem occurs only in my
computer.

My office is professional version 2003.

Hi,

I would have you IT department reinstall Excel. It's not an Excel issue if
the same files work correctly on other machines. It's not a file issue if it
happens to all files.

Make sure when they (you?) reinstall that you have SP 3, that means service
Pack #3.
