Insert Sequence #'s in margin

Word 2k (& Word '03)

I have existing documents that I want to leave intact (as to formatting) but insert
sequence numbers in the margin on certain paragraphs (I know how to select the pertinent
paras).

Hi RWN

One way to do this set the paragraph to have Left Indent of (eg) 1cm,
Hanging indent of 1cm, and put a tab stop at 0. Then, put the sequence
number at the very beginning of the paragraph, followed by a tab.
