Insert Table Button

When inserting a new table, I like to use the button on the standard toolbar whereby I would simply click the button and then drag to select the number of rows and columns I wanted. But now when I click the button, it gives me a dialog box where I have to click for the number of columns and rows. I prefer the drag-and-select grid. I don’t understand why or how this changed. Can I change the button back to the drag-and-select grid

Thank yo

I don't think anyone knows why this suddenly changes overnight, but you can
get the familiar button back using Tools | Customize. Look in All Commands
for TableInsertGeneral.

I can't help you with this. But I have a problem that
goes right along with it. I always use the drag and
select feature too. All of a sudden, I am not allowed to
create a table of more than 5 rows or columns. The only
thing I did different this morning from any other day was
that I used Word Art in a totally different document.
I've even rebooted the computer and nothing changed. Like
you, MB, why in the world did this change?
