Insert ->Text Box *** Word Crashes !

Rabindra

Hi,
I am running Office 2007 with latest updates in Vista Home Premium. I cant
determine since when I have this problem, but I am facing two problems at
this time.

i) Cannot insert a text box.
When I click on the Text box, the templates/layouts/formats don't
appear instead circle kind of things are there and Word doesn't respond
anymore; crashes. I've had to repeat a lot of work because of this problem.
As long as I am concerned, I am having problems with installing a KB
update for Vista- KB936181 regarding XML Core Services, does that update have
anything to do with this ?

ii) Printing - same thing when I save Office Icon->Print.

I tried to find some information and deleted the registry key :
HKCU/Software/Micorsoft/Office/12.0/Data..... the problem persists.

I ran the diagnostics... says evth is fine ...

Please help me out !
Thanx in advance,

J

It sounds like the Building Blocks.dotx file is corrupted. With Word closed
down, open the Computer (file manager) window and paste this into the address
bar:

%appdata%\Microsoft\Document Building Blocks\1033

Delete the Building Blocks.dotx file and restart Word, which will copy a new one
from the installation version in the Program Files area.

If that doesn't help, look for and remove any other files in the Document
Building Blocks folder or in any numbered folders below it.
As long as I am concerned, I am having problems with installing a KB

No, that's very unlikely to be related.
ii) Printing - same thing when I save Office Icon->Print.

I don't know what might cause that problem. Does it also happen with the Ctrl+P
shortcut?
