In my old word program it was easy to insert lines, both vertical and
horizonal. Now in word 2007 it is hard for me to find out how to insert
vertical lines. Can anyone help me out?

If you are asking about inserting lines into a TABLE, just place you
cursor on the line and right click. The context menu will offe
suggestions as to how and where you need the line

Paul, was anyone ever able to help you? I am in WORD and would like the ease
of doing it the way it was done in WordPerfect. I know you can do it through
Shapes, but I don't like "drawing" a line. I want one simply inserted.

You could use WordPerfect to insert the line if you wished.
