Insert Windows Metafile into a Word document

Fred Zack

how do I insert files which are WMF in such a way that I can edit in the word
document (not as embedded object). Used to be able to do that in previous
versions of word, but now I cant seem abe to. I am runing word 2002.

I have tried insert as a picture, as an object then file, cut and paste and
others I forget. right now.

Hi Fred:

Word 2002 on a PC? It doesn't matter how you insert them: simply
double-click them to edit them. If they really are WMF, you will edit them.

If you are on Word for the Mac (and you have put your question in the
Word-for-Mac Community...) then SORRY: no editing of WMF, Word for Mac
cannot edit that file type.

Cheers
