Insert Word Document Thumbnail into document

How do you insert Document thumbnail into a word 2007 document. I've
selected insert object, but text inserts the text not the thumbnail. I
haven't found an object option to insert. I want a thumbnail, not a
hyperlink to another directory. Not all participants need to see additional
information in the document and not all have access to shared directory. In
Word 2003, you inserted file.

when you get to the Dialog to insert an Object, from File, there's a
checkbox to insert as a symbol.
