Inserted captions error?

Hi,

Thanks for reading this, I've got this problem where I inserted
captions such as

"Table 1-2, Table 1-3" and another group of captions "Figure 1-2,
Figure 1-3"

but now all my captions (including Table 1-2) go to Figure 1-2? Why is
this so?

When I tried adding new Table 1-2, all the other figures change to
Table 1-2, 1-3 etc

How are you adding your table caption? Note that if you are trying to
replace an existing caption, you must delete it and then insert a new one;
selecting the existing caption and overwriting it won't work.

Oh right, I added directly on top of the existing one to replace them

Is there a way to get them back from figures to table without doing
any replacements?

If you haven't closed your document since you made the undesired changes,
you can use Undo (Ctrl+Z) repeatedly. Otherwise, you will have to reinsert
the correct captions manually, I'm afraid.
